Samir is a young fisherman and the only one at home to provide for his family. Furthermore, he must pay the debt of his father, a well-known drug dealer in the city. The atmosphere at home is heavy and uncertainty and violence is mounting between his father and mother. One day, Samir decides to change his family's fate and deal with his father in his own way.
Demons of Cairo (92min)
Death is easier than life for the 2 million street children in Egypt. Police brutality, sexual abuse, rape, and gang violence are daily realities for Cairo's forgotten and ignored street dwellers. 'Al Ghaba' tells the story of a gang of these abandoned boys who fight to survive with the help of a pregnant drug dealer, Gamila. When a former gang leader is released from prison, a turf war ensues, and no one is left unaffected.
