A Touch of Mink
Join Peaches Christ for A TOUCH OF MINK, an evening of idol worship celebrating the legendary Mink Stole, live and in person this one night only. Mink Stole has performed in over 25 films (including every John Waters movie) and 15 theatrical productions. Her film career has given birth to PINK FLAMINGO's Connie Marble, FEMALE TROUBLE's Taffy Davenport, and of course DESPERATE LIVING's Peggy Gravel. She is a renowned cult film queen and pop culture icon deserving of Seattles worship (which youll have a chance to do, as shes also in two other festival films this year: STUCK and EATING OUT 3).
Ms. Stole joins Peaches Christ onstage to discuss her notorious film career, answer your questions, and do a post-show fan meet-and-greet. Peaches kindly requests that audience members dress up for the Mink Stole Look-Alike Contest!or at least wear your clothes backwards. Followed by a rare screening of DESPERATE LIVING, a "monstrous fairy tale" from John Waters about a middle-class murderess (Mink Stole) and her 400-pound maid, who find refuge in a village full of criminals and ruled by a demented queen. Unbelievably grotesque!
