Lyman Frank Baum Foundation Benefit: Michael Siewert & Peter Mac as Judy Garland A Musical Cabaret Concert and Dressing Of A Legend Lecture Featuring some of Judy's original in person costumes.
For one night only - benefiting the Lyman Frank Baum Foundation, Inc. - at the historic Palace Theatre in Syracuse, NY they will join forces to create an unprecedented live Judy Garland experience that is appropriate for audiences of all ages. This is your one and only chance to see the most complete set of Judy Garland's costumes AND hear the preeminent Judy Garland Tribute Artist recreate a Judy Garland cabaret concert!
Michael Siewert is the curator for what is known as Judy Garland The Dressing Of a Legend and The Judy Garland Collection. He has spent a large part of his career as one of the most sought after interior designers in the south seeking out and preserving Judy Garland's legacy. He has traveled around the world sharing the collection with others. For those of you who have not seen one of his exhibits, and are a fan of Judy Garland's this exhibit is a must see.
Peter Mac speaks sings live as Judy Garland. He has gained National attention and critical acclain for his homage to the rainbow diva, garnering special raves for his determination to bring to life the style, wit and musical legacy of an artist rather than caricature her familiar frailties as a human being. In 2012 he was awarded the Southern California Motion Picture Council Golden Halo award for "Outstanding Achievement in Live Performances of the Great Judy Garland". The award was presented to him in a gala celebration in his honor in person by Mickey Rooney and Margaret O'Brien.
The VIP package includes: seating in the center orchestra first 10 rows; early admission to Michael Siewert's Dressing of a Legend Costume Collection and lecture; the full Peter Mac as Judy Garland cabaret tribute concert; and a picture with Peter as Judy and Michael after the show on stage (please bring your digital camera).
Audience members are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Wizard of Oz character.
