Uncle Rock | Saturday, August 16 10am
$10/$8 Members, $6 Kids
Indie rocker Robert Burke Warren, a.k.a. Uncle Rock, returns to the Hudson Opera House for what is sure to be another SRO event. Uncle Rock's multi-generational "rock for all ages" draws inspiration from all-time favorites like the Beatles, the Ramones and Woodie Guthrie to literary sources such as Roald Dahl and Shel Silverstein. Part of what sets him apart is his artful approach to oft-overlooked topics like conspicuous consumption ("Too Many Presents") the plight of Arctic-dwelling friends ("Polar Bear Over There"), and the need for downtime ("Nothin' Doin'"). This offbeat approach and dynamic live performances has earned him critical praise from the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, and Time Out NY Kids.
