Tapestry Theatre presents BYE, BYE BIRDIE, Young Performers Edition

BYE BYE BIRDIE is a satire crafted with the fondest affection telling the story of a rock and roll singer who is about to be inducted into the army. An English Teacher, What Did I Ever See in Him?, Put on a Happy Face, One Boy, A Lot of Livin' to Do, Kids and Rosie are musical theatre classics. This is the tops in imagination and good old-fashioned fun.

CenterStage's Tapestry Theatre casts actors, ages 10-21, with special needs in lead roles, and peer mentor actors as understudies and support. Lead actors and ensemble members are partnered during the rehearsal and performance process. Tapestry Theatre provides actors with an opportunity to participate in theatre in an environment that is safe, welcoming, adaptive and inclusive This creates a community that encourages youth to experience diversity and forge long lasting friendships, culminating in a high quality musical production.

This theatre project generates a large following in those who wish to put people with disabilities in the forefront, utilizing their gifts to the fullest. Tapestry invites actors of all abilities to experience the joy of musical theatre.
