This years show presents assorted works by Northwest choreographers from Seattle, Bellingham, and Vancouver, BC, including Wade Madsen, Pablo Cornejo, Josh Beamish, and Pam Kuntz. In addition is the return of an audience favorite by Andy Noble. Through the diverse styles, backgrounds, and perspectives of these choreographers, BRD presents an evening of performance that explores several facets of human emotion and interaction.
In addition to the opening night performance, a reception will be held immediately after the show on October 16th, and will be open to all who attend that night. The reception will include hors d oeuvres and dessert, as well as illuminating conversation with BRD members.
Past performances have often sold out, so advance tickets are advised for your assured seat. Tickets are available for purchase at The Community Food Co-Op on North Forest, and online at www.brownpapertickets.com.
The dancers of Bellingham Repertory Dance were chosen from a field of highly skilled dancers in May. Many have performance experience with professional dance companies across the country, and several are graduates of University dance programs.
BRDs mission is to provide professional-level performance opportunities to Whatcom Countys most accomplished dancers, bring high-quality contemporary dance performances to the local community, and support established and emerging choreographers. Come enjoy the fourth annual Bellingham Repertory Dance Show and support our continued, enthusiastic efforts towards a thriving artistic community.
