Bio: Kimberly Baerg is proud to be presenting her first workshop with Puppeteers of America (PofA). Kim has been an illustrator for over 20 years. 5 years ago, she directed a summer musical that required several puppets, but since the budget was tight, she needed to build them. This sparked a fire in her heart that eventually blossomed into a small business all her own (Joy Filled Puppets). She has had the pleasure of creating many characters, including a puppet/photo model for James Hance's parody character- Wookie the Chew, puppets for a children's home in India, and a clown companion for Odie, a professional clown. Kim is always excited to pass along her knowledge in the field of puppet building to anyone interested, and would like to thank PofA for this wonderful opportunity. She would also like to thank her loving husband for his support, and her children for their constant inspiration.
HANDMADE WORLDS: A Festival of Puppet Theatre is produced by Open Eye Figure Theatre in collaboration with the Great Plains Region of The Puppeteers of America and In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre.
