PART OF HANDMADE WORLDS: A FESTIVAL OF PUPPET THEATRE

We will focus on making custom puppet eyes which will be back-painted on clear vacuum-formed domes. We will also discuss other applications for vacuum-form parts in puppet making.
The vacuum-forming process will be demonstrated in class.
Materials and tools will be supplied.
Limit 20 participants. $3.00 materials fee payable directly to instructor day of workshop.
Bio: Gordon Smuder is a 25 year veteran of the Special Effects industry. Having provided props, miniatures, and effects for many films, commercials and web series, he is now engaged with a career in puppetry full-time. Gordon also created and co-produced the award winning web and television series Transylvania Television.
HANDMADE WORLDS: A Festival of Puppet Theatre is produced by Open Eye Figure Theatre in collaboration with the Great Plains Region of The Puppeteers of America and In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre.
