With the ALL GIRL PROJECT, the Chicago Mammals are committed to providing extreme and unique opportunities for Chicago actresses to play roles that are rarely if ever performed by women.

The stories that we thus far produced were 2 classics from the Western Canon with either none or relatively few female characters (ALL GIRL MOBY DICK and ALL GIRL FRANKENSTEIN). Sold out houses and immense critical acclaim made producing both ALL GIRL MOBY DICK and ALL GIRL FRANKENSTEIN among the most rewarding experiences that this theater company has been a part of.

The ALL GIRL EDGAR ALLAN POE provides even more opportunity for women within our Chicago Theater community. Whereas our previous productions provided exceptional opportunity for women on stage, ALL GIRL EDGAR ALLAN POE provides those same opportunities behind the scenes as well. Not only are the shows fully cast with women. Each of these projects has been conceived, written, directed and led by amazing women artists in our community.
