Our fall event will feature a panel of seasoned organizational leaders sharing their perspective on working with outside consultants. Come and learn what business leaders look for in consultants, how they make engagement decisions, and when they may or may not use your services. Our panel of business leaders, representing small to large organizations, will focus on key insights to help you get, keep, and grow better consulting engagements.
PANEL MEMBERS Steven Greenwell is a director of product management at Charles Schwab & Co. In this role, he is responsible for a mix of ongoing and at special project initiatives some of which are regulatory driven and some driven by client needs, simplification needs, efficiency needs, or strategy changes. In his current position at Schwab, Mr. Greenwell is responsible for a team called CSIM (Charles Schwab Investment Management)- Product Services. Steven received a bachelor's degree from San Francisco State University and spent the first four years of his career working in retail banking providing investment product services to bank clients. Since joining Schwab in 2000, Mr. Greenwell has held several different roles related to the product management and development of Schwab's mutual funds. Joe Rivero was born in Havana, Cuba, more years ago than he cares to remember. Although an Engineer by formal education, Joe spent most of his professional career leading organizations. He came to the United States in his teens, attended the University of Florida, and went off to make his mark in the world. That pursuit led him to work in the aviation, construction and chemical process industries, and to travel throughout the world. Immediately prior to his retirement from industry, he was the chief executive of a large, international distribution company. Joe has owned small businesses in design, consulting, and the restaurant industry. Completely fluent in English and Spanish, he manages to make himself misunderstood in Italian and Flemish.
Holly Roland is the Vice President of Strategic Portfolio Marketing at SAP Labs. In this role, she is responsible for developing positioning and messaging for topics of strategic importance to SAP and cultivating awareness of the holistic value of SAPs solutions. Roland was named by Treasury & Risk magazine as one of the 'Top 100 Influencers in Finance,' a list recognizing leaders and innovators who are leaving their marks on the world of finance. Roland is also a published author on GRC topics, most recently co-authoring SAP GRC for Dummies. Previous to her career in business technology, Roland served as a public accountant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where she audited public companies and venture capital firms and provided business consulting services to emerging businesses in Silicon Valley. David Welch has had a diversified marketing career working with fortune 20 companies, start-ups, as well as forming and eventually selling his own company. He was with HP for over 12 years designing and leading several business transformation programs. Results were achieved through clear program articulation and design, as part of a successful strategy of capitalizing on effective teaming of employees, consultants, and contractors to deliver business results that met expectations of executive sponsors. Other career highlights include early team member at Netscape, a successful CRM consulting career, and founder of Veloz Car Computers. Mr. Welch is currently a marketing operations and CRM consultant.
