LIBRARY PARKING IN EAST LOT IS FREE. AVOID RESERVED SPACES! PLEASE USE BUS AND CARPOOL. STREET PARKING METERS ARE TWO HOURS ONLY!

WHAT'S HAPPENED TO THE AMERICAN DREAM IN THE LAST 30 YEARS? WE WILL EXPLORE INCOME INEQUALITY, JOB LOSS, REDUCED ACCESS TO EDUCATION, LOSS OF HOMES, LOSS OF PERSONAL RIGHTS, LOSS OF PRIVACY AND LOSS OF ABILITY TO SHAPE OUR FUTURE!

WE MUST FIND A WAY TO REGAIN THE FADING AMERICAN DREAM--TO MOBILIZE AND ENERGIZE PEOPLE OUT OF APATHY AND INTO ACTION--TO REGAIN OUR RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS.

THE UWT CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF COMMUNITY AND SOCIETY BRINGS MARK McDERMOTT AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER. MARK HAS BEEN WORKING FOR ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND RACIAL JUSTICE FOR WORKING PEOPLE INCLUDING IMMIGRANTS AND PEOPLE OF COLOR. WE WILL CONDUCT SEVERAL ROUND TABLE DISCUSSIONS THAT WE HOPE WILL BE THE BEGINNING OF ENGAGEMENT AND ACTION FOR CITIZENS OF TACOMA AND PIERCE COUNTY.

PLEASE JOIN US! THANKS TO GENEROUS DONORS LUNCH AND BEVERAGE WILL BE PROVIDED FOR THE $5.00 FEE. GLUTEN FREE AND VEGETARIAN WILL BE AVAILABLE.
