2014 National Asian American Theater Festival and Conference Day Pass
The 2014 National Asian American Theater Festival and Conference will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from October 8th-12th.
Through the lens of the Asian American experience of migration and the search for a sense of "place" and equity on personal, community, and global levels, the ConFest will examine Asian Americans' relationship to broad definitions and meanings of home. 2014 conference and festival will include 4 full-length productions, 2 performance showcases, 16 panel discussions or workshops, and 3 plenary sessions. Open-mic opportunities, video presentation sessions with artists sharing work-in-progress, neighborhood artist/open studio and community tours, new play readings, and open space sessions will round out the program.
The conference and festival is presented by the Consortium of Asian American Theaters and Artists (CAATA), and co-hosted by Asian Arts Initiative and Interact Theatre Company, and with support from FringeArts.
The Conference and Festival Day Pass includes: * Access to conference panels, readings, and receptions * Access to the CAATA Performance Showcase is included with the Day Pass on Thursday, October 9
