Poetry & Coffee: sunday, august 31st, 2014
An evening of poetry discussion and musical entertainment in a beautiful and private setting on the East River with a stunning view of Manhattan. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served and live musical entertainment will be enjoyed.
Bring a poem that you love, that you hate, that you totally get, that you never understood, that got you through it, or broke you apart. If possible, please bring 10 copies of the poem to share with the group. **The only rule is that the poem you bring cannot be your own work.** We read, we talk. Simple as that. Magical beyond all expectation.
For readers, it's a fantastic way to be exposed to more poetry. For poetry haters, it will convert you. For writers, it will wake you from your slumber. For all, it's a great, big, juicy discussion that is always unexpectedly magical.
This Poetry & Coffee will be an invitation-only event. Tickets are free but you must have one to attend.
