A native of Shenyang, China, pianist Yun-Chin Zhou, whose given name means pure melody, has been hailed as a "dashing virtuoso complete with dazzling fingerwork and shapely phrasing" (Cleveland Plain Dealer). In 2013, he was awarded seven concert prizes and was named a winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions. He came to the U.S. at the age of 19 to study at the Curtis Institute and is now pursuing his Master's degree at the Juilliard School, where he recently won the Gina Bacchauer Piano Competition.
The program will include works by Scarlatti, Liszt, Skriabin, Trenet, and Rachmaninoff. (Please note: program is subject to change at the discretion of the artist.)
