CROTCH (all the Joseph Beuys references in the world cannot heal the pain, confusion, regret, cruelty, betrayal or trauma...) premiered at Larsenic in Lausanne, Switzerland, in Feb. 2008, and was presented to much acclaim at NYs Dance Theater Workshop in April 2009.
CROTCH references the images and actions of artist Joseph Beuys. On the surface the work is about art, about its histories and heroes. Deeper, a sadness grows, a queer divorce melancholy.
