Second Sunday Series -Brahms Liebeslieder
The Roedde House Museum Second Sunday Concert Series presents the Brahms Liebeslieder: Vocal Quartet & Piano
On September 14th, treat yourself to both sets of Johannes Brahms' beloved Liebeslieder Walzer (Love Song Waltzes). Written for four voices and piano four hands, they were conceived in a popular style and likely intended for performance in an informal, private setting just like the museum parlour. Soprano Catherine Laub, mezzo-soprano Fabiana Katz, tenor Mark DeSilva and baritone Wim Vermuelen are joined by pianists Rita Attrot and Stephen Smith in these captivating masterpieces of the genre.
This concert is part of a monthly concert series, taking place on the 2nd Sunday of each month, in the afternoon. Come at 1pm, for Tea and Tour before the concert (included in the price of the ticket), or show up right before 3pm for the concert, at your convenience
*****PARKING******: Options include the parking lot at the Empire Landmark Hotel (Robson & Broughton) or street parking on Robson and in the West End.
Parking spots are scarce in the neighbourhood, so give yourself some extra time or use public transportation. (Closest Skytrain station: Burrard. We are on the #5 Robson bus route)
**This concert series would not be possible without the generous support of the Vancouver Foundation**
