DSW's annual favourite, two-weekend festival features nine fresh contemporary dances from 12 Alberta choreographers. The artists delve into dramatic impulse and compulsion, inspired by profound images such as Alex Colville's "Berlin Bus", a family's portrait of grandmother Tilly as a child and others. The production follows the week long Creative Intensive in which the choreographers dive deeply into their pieces with Artistic Direction by Davida Monk and the Dance Action Group. This program of works showcases the dynamic dance and talent of emerging and established choreographers here in Alberta.
** WARNING: During Week One of the festival, there will be some awesome art that is expressed through the naked body.
