2009 DPLC Gala / Auction (Lane County Democrats)
Join us Saturday, November 7, for the 2009 DPLC Gala / Auction -- certain to be our best ever! The event starts at 5 pm at Mallard Hall, 725 W. 1st Ave., Eugene, OR 97402 (Whiteaker Community) and features special guest speakers (including Obama for America's Conent and Issues Director Dan Carol), visits from all your favorite legislators, a great dinner from gourmet chef Jeff Alvarado, beer donated by award-winning Ninkasi Brewery, and wine donated by Willamette Valley Vintners.
We also have a very special auctioneer this year in JillMarie Wiles. She's nationally known as one of the best in her field and is a strongly committed Democrat. Wiles understands what we are about, why we work so hard, and why we are worth supporting.
We will have many great items and events up for bid, such as dinner for four at Marche with Chris Edwards and his brilliant, beautiful, accomplished wife Ali; a flight for two (with lunch) to Sunriver and more. Tickets for this exciting event are strictly limited to 200 (max for this venue), at $75 each.
Auction proceeds go towards maintaining the DPLC office and services for the upcoming, crucial 2010 elections. Now, more than ever, Democrats must show strength, unity, and support for difficult, imperative change.
Just as important: show off your dress-up clothes (not saying black tie, though it's awfully fun to dress to the teeth once in a while). Whatever is comfortable for you -- just come looking snappy and we'll celebrate our natural Democratic ability to have a roaring good time!
