Hot Buttered Rum is one of the hardest-working and fastest-rising stars in the musical world, a postmodern string band from San Francisco that combines bluegrass, reggae, folk and jazz into a riveting blend of Americana. They have been leading the way in not only advocating for societal change but by committing to achieve their musical goals in an environmentally sensitive manner. Since 2003, the band has toured in vehicles that run on vegetable oil and biodiesel instead of fossil fuel products, and their performances have attracted environmentally-conscious sponsorships from BP and Clif Bar.
