TERRA INCOGNITA (A staged reading)
Nadia, a recovering alcoholic, is being haunted by a ghost from her past. Sheila, an aging social worker, is being consumed by the prospect of a lonesome future. When the two women challenge each other to confront their mortality in counseling sessions, then the line between professional and personal begins to blur. Their relationship expands into treacherous terrain as further boundaries are blurred between the living and the dead, sex and violence, and love and hate.
Out of a record-breaking 1200 submissions, Benjamin Benne's play TERRA INCOGNITA achieved semifinalist status (top 23%) in the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's 2014 National Playwrights Conference and he is quickly becoming a sought after Seattle Playwright.
