Teaching Dinner at the Imagine Food Space
"The Best Of" Teaching Dinner Series
In this teaching dinner series Maxime Bilet--coauthor of "Modernist Cuisine," and Chef Andy Nhan will teach you the secrets to creating intense flavor using modern techniques for the home kitchen. Each evening we'll present the bounty of the seasons, as well as our latest creations. The taste and techniques will constantly be changing!
Participants will enjoy a series of 10 tastes which they will have a hand in helping create, while Maxime and Andy demonstrate methods new to most students. The teaching model we have adopted at Imagine Food is based on fully immersing our guests into the mindful insights, sensory explorations, and hands on experiences of great cooking-the keyword being cooking! While things like knife skills are important, we want to focus on the actual making of the dish, the flavours, textures, and chemistry, not the prep. No chopping onions here!
Menu Items for this month's class include:
Salad Nicoise Seared Albacore Tuna (The Best!), Arbequina Olives Garlic Chips and Onion Milk Custard
and
Kalbi Low Temperature Hangar and NY Steaks, 1 Day Fermented Cucumber Kimchi Pressure Cooked Sesame Seeds
Wine and gratuities included.
Doors will open at 6:45 pm, and class runs from 7-10 pm.
