To celebrate our fifteenth anniversary, Sixteen Rivers Press welcomes you to a garden party featuring a reading by honored poet Kay Ryan, as well as light refreshments and Prosecco on the grounds of a Marin County estate.
Kay Ryan, the sixteenth poet laureate of the United States, from 2008 to 2010, is the author of eight books of poetry and the recipient of many honors, including the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry and a MacArthur Foundation fellowship. Sixteen Rivers Press is proud to claim her as one of our advisors.
Sixteen Rivers Press, a shared-work, nonprofit poetry collective, was founded in 1999 as an alternative publishing avenue for San Francisco Bay Area poets, and admits new members each year through a blind-submission process. The press has published thirty-two books to date.
Tickets to this event are on a sliding scale. Please select individual tickets at the level you can afford, and consider an additional donation. $25 of each ticket is non-deductible, and includes a gift of one backlist book of your choice. Proceeds will support Sixteen Rivers Press and the publication of its books.
