Stephanie Schneiderman & Come Gather 'Round Us
The Admiral Theater is honored to have Portland artist, Stephanie Schneiderman back on our stage,September 25, 2009. Stephanie took part in our first Listening Room series and wowed our West Seattle audience.
One of the purest voices in the Northwest, she has been touring her highly successful CD, Dangerous Fruit which showcases her rootsy flair, distinctive vocals and intricate songwriting. Stephanie is also known for her five previous solo albums and acclaimed work with popular regional act, Dirty Martini. Watch Stephanie here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWhHiUQoik4.
The CD added a new distinctive sound with her musical partnership with producer, Keith Schreiner known for his work with Grammy-winning artists Jeff Trott, Sheryl Crow and Dr. Dre/Eminem's producer, Mike Elizondo.
Stephanie's music has appeared on several shows on the CW network and has acted in films with Robert Deniro and Cuba Gooding Jr. She is a rare artist, a combination of talent and great creative integrity.
Sharing the bill with Stephanie will be, COME GATHER ROUND US. The group conjures the naive political angst of the early 1960s, when songwriters thought they could change the world and they gave a sh*t enough to try.
Together, the duo amazes audiences with their ability to weave intricate tapestries of harmony.
Playing in living rooms and small venues, these musicians erase the boundary line between audience and performer, life and art. see video of house concert. The core of the group is Catherine Feeny and her husband.
Feeny has had music on many CW shows and has shared the stage with artists such as Suzanne Vega, The Indigo Girls and Dr. John.
Feeny's husband, The Challenge of Feral Green, got his first record deal in England at the age of 21. Five years and four record companies later, still with no record released, TCOFG left his then home in Los Angeles (a bit miffed) to return to England and follow a career as a Record Producer/ Song writer. He quit singing totally, that is until he worked out a way to fully eschew the traditional music business, founding the Living Room Revolution and hand-printing his own CDs.

The show starts at 9 P.M. and is all ages.
