It's 1966 and the world-famous Mark Ten have decided to stop touring, hit the recording studio, and create a masterpiece concept album. While Stu, Harvey, Lewis, and Dave use all the latest in musical technology-plungers, basketballs, tea kettles, tap shoes, and other "instruments" -- a mixed-race studio musician named Cindy provides the album's true, unaccredited genius. With the vibrant spirit, imaginative idealism and artistic ambition of the 1960s, what are the obstacles an artist must hurdle in unleashing maximum creativity? What happens when circumstances and situations gel (or not) in a genius-inducing lifestyle and wall of sound? Who's the ultimate creator of any single work of art? Who just broke into the studio?
