SEDA: A Workshop on Iran
A special experiential day for teachers and students!
How does Iran figure into classroom teaching? What are its historical and literary links to the curriculum? What overarching questions do students have about contemporary Iran? Teachers and students will spend a special day exploring answers to these questions.
Special presenters include: political scientist, Nader Nazemi, human rights lawyer Arzoo Osanloo, film producer and photographer, Abdi Sami and poet Sholeh Wolpe. Wolpe will be reading her own works and the works of the acclaimed Persian poet Forugh Farrokhzad.
Registration cost: $20 for the day, includes a full admission ticket to Travel as a Political Act, featuring special guest speaker, Rick Steves and former Cirque dSolei singer Gina Sala, at Town Hall on Saturday, October 10, 7:30 p.m.
