The Mmere Dané Group formed in June of 2014. The group started with a bang sharing the stage with jazz drummer Adam Nussbaum at the Spot Underground. Since then, they have been performing extensivley in RI, and MA. The Mmere Dané Group hosts three residencies in Worcester, New Bedford, and Providence and have shows coming up at Gratitude Festival, Ryles Jazz Club, Johnny D's, throughout 2014-2015. An album is also being recorded in the fall of 2014 so keep an eye out.
The music can be described as soulful jazz touched with textures of world music. The feeling we take from funk is always there, and the time flows like the hourglass that symbolizes "Mmere Dane".
