Merrimans' Playhouse Jazz Performance Series presents Goran Ivanovic Trio
Credibly multicultural and countercultural, guitarist Goran Ivanovic - From the group Eastern Blok and AKGI Guitar Duo, comes up with a unique musical language which melts together his Balkan roots and Flamenco and Latin guitar traditions. Goran will be performing with bassist Matt Ulery, and drummer Pete Tashjian.

Goran Ivanovic is a native of Croatia, a Balkan country torn by the civil strife that engulfed the former Yugoslavia. The musical son of a Serbian father and a Bosnian Croat mother, he has crossed many boundaries in his life and in his music. Goran's broad grounding in Classical music has been enriched by influences of Jazz, Balkan and the World Music.
