Friday, October 17
Exhibit Preview Party 5:30- 7 PM The show opens with a kick off cocktail reception at Ker Place. Be among the first to see this exhibit and meet Graham Arader personally. $25 members/ $55 non- members
Seated Dinner at Ker Place 7:30 PM Chef Jim Hughes will prepare an autumnal menu with the season and the setting serving as inspiration. Served under a tent in the back yard at Ker Place. $ 75 members $105 non- members
Saturday, October 18
2 Lecture Package: $50 members/$80 non-members
Graham Arader Important maps in Virginia's history. 10 AM Graham Arader will give a special talk on maps by John White, Fry & Jefferson, George Beck, Lord Fairfax, Thomas Hutchins, John Henry Alexander, and John Bachman; each considered an icon of Chesapeake Bay history. $25 members/ $55 non- members. Alexis Jason Mathews The early Cartography of John Smith. 1:30 PM Ms. Alexis Jason- Mathews, a collection manager at the Graham Arader gallery on 72nd street in NYC, will speak about Captain John Smith's early cartography methods & his discoveries from New England to the Chesapeake. $25 members/ $55 non- members.
Appraisal Session Show & Tell 3:30 PM A "road show" style appraisal session for ESVHS members & guests will be conducted by Mr. Graham Arader. Participants may bring up to two pieces that are considered, works on paper. Observers may to view the pieces on display.
Participation ticket: $25 members/ $55 non members. Observation ticket: $15 member/ $ 45 non- member
All Saturday programs will be held in the comfort of the Onancock Baptist Church auditorium.
