The King's Singers
Friday, February 20, 2015 7:30 p.m. Green Center, Kresge Auditorium
Consummate entertainers, The King's Singers are instantly recognizable for their spot-on intonation, impeccable vocal blend and flawless articulation. A world-class act with a delightfully British wit.
These double Grammy Award-winning artists were honored in 2009 for their Signum Classics release "Simple Gifts," and again in 2012, for their contribution to Eric Whitacre's "Light & Gold" album on the Decca label. In June 2013, they were chosen as one of only two vocal ensembles to enter the Gramophone Hall of Fame, in recognition of their unique discography of over 150 albums.
Friday's concert features selections from the Great American Songbook, traditional American spirituals and the magic of Cole Porter.
