826 Valencia Special Benefit Screening: Where the Wild Things Are
Don your wolf suit and join us for a wild evening to benefit 826 Valencia! Based on the beloved book by Maurice Sendak, the hotly anticipated film Where the Wild Things Are is a classic story about childhood and the place we go to figure out the world we live in. Director Spike Jonze, screenwriter Dave Eggers, and additional special guests will be on-hand to answer questions and discuss the making of the film.

All the proceeds from this event will benefit 826 Valencia, a San Francisco-based nonprofit writing and tutoring center dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their writing skills, and to helping teachers get their students excited about the writing. 826 Valencias services are structured around the understanding that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success. www.826valencia.org
