"The Haunting of Hill House"
LeGacy Productions will bring Shirley Jackson's spooky novel to life when "The Haunting of Hill House" comes to the Nevada Theatre this October 8th through November 8th. The story of a group of people invited by Dr. Montague (Chris LeGate) to Hill House...a "house born bad" is fit for all ages. Directed by Alvis LeGate, this local all-star cast features Lauren Pierce and Lyra Dominquez as Eleanor Vance and Theodora, whose paranormal pasts are the reason they have been invited. Josh Triplett as Luke, the heir to the house, who inhabits the house for the first time. Mrs. Montague (Carolyn Winters) & Arthur (Richard Joplin) arrive with their "expert" knowledge of the spiritual world, and Chris Whitlock as the mysterious Mrs. Dudley round out the cast. Made into the well known 1963 movie, "The Haunting of Hill House" is a perfect fit into the Halloween season, staged at the oldest continually operating theatre west of the Mississippi. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door, with a special benefit performance for the Nevada Theatre Wednesday, October 15th at 7 pm. Tickets for the benefit (which includes a drink on the house) are $30. Preview night (October 8th, 7pm) are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
