Space.City Lecture: Tim McDonald: Onion Flats Plumbob Jig Grass Blox
URBAN ACUPUNCTURE: Architecture creating cultural change in urban landscapes.
Onion Flats kicks off the Urban Acupuncture lecture series! In 1997, brothers Tim and Pat McDonald started Onion Flats by purchasing a 200-year-old, five-story building in the Old City section of Philadelphia. The project tested their limits, resulting in a space for the family to work together and a location for Philadelphias first architecture gallery. Onion Flats has since grown to become a development/design/build company with a focus on multi-family housing projects, most of which are situated in formerly vacant and blighted neighborhoods in Philadelphia.
