An Evening with Erin McKeown
Knoxville Botanical Garden's Stone Terrace Series continues with singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Erin McKeown on Sunday, September 27 at 7:00 pm. Knoxville's Hudson K will open the show.
From elegant pop to rock, sweet electronics to witty swing, McKeown has packed a ton of music into a substantial career. With six albums, two EPs, and numerous soundtracks and compilations to her credit, the 31-year-old artist hasn't stopped for a breather in the last ten years. Along the way, she has averaged 200 shows per year and has garnered the praise of fans and critics alike. This fall, McKeown will release a new full-length album, Hundreds of Lions, which will continue in her unique tradition of fresh and unusual music.
Event attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, picnics, and wine to the concert. A limited number of VIP packages, which include a pre-show hors d'oeuvres and wine reception, meet & greet with the artist, and premium seating areas, are also available. Also available are a VIP + Table Service package, which includes all benefits listed at the VIP level, plus a reserved table on the front terrace with hospitality service.
A portion of the proceeds from the event benefit the non-profit Knoxville Botanical Garden's efforts to preserve their historic landscape and create a world-class botanical garden in the heart of Knoxville.
Founded in 2001 on the property of the historic Howell Nursery (circa 1786), KBGA is a secret garden paradise enclosed by thousands of feet of stone walls and incorporating whimsical stone "Round HousesÂÂÂÂÂ" reminiscent of fairy tales. The hidden treasure is located only two and a half miles east of downtown Knoxville. The Garden's elegant terrace, shaded by a canopy of old-growth trees, will be the setting of the concert series.
