Russell Wagoner ~ Pop/Soul Singer & Songwriter
Russell's music has been described as the gritty, soulful love child of Usher and Adele. Having recorded multiple EPs with grammy- award-winning teams out of Atlantis Studios (Nashville) & Fluid Studios (New York), he's an independent singer-songwriter who commands the stage with a mix of re- imagined covers & captivating, dusky originals.
He recently played to a packed house at James Madison University's festival ballroom (seats: 150). Russell is currently most at home in a stripped-down acoustic set, allowing him to connect with his audience through meaningful lyrics and his 14 years of training as a classical pianist. He is a respected storyteller and industry voice with published works of poetry and music industry insight. Russell just finished an 8- month Artist in Residency position at a recording studio outside of Nashville.
Having recently relocated to New York city, he is enjoying sharing music off of a brand new self-produced EP with the city he's loved since birth (release expected 2015).
