About the judges:
Billy Rafferty is a nationally recognized, multi-certified and award-winning pet stylist and dog care expert who has been working with dogs for over twenty-five years. In addition to being a Certified Master Groomer, Dermatech Specialist and Companion Animal Hygienist, Billy is a sanctioned grooming show judge and a highly regarded speaker and lecturer. Billy is the owner and principal stylist at Doggy Dooz Pet Styling Salon in Chicago, Illinois. His clients include Oprah Winfrey, NBC News Tamron Hall and Chef Art Smith. Billy shares his life (and sofa!) with Zeke, a Portuguese Water Dog, and Arthur, a Cocker Spaniel.
Anthony Mesok founded Bark Place in April of 2007. His life long love of animals and his own need to find a boarding/care facility that met his standards are what motivated him to establish this facility. Several local overnight boarding facilities were satisfactory but he could not find a daycare facility to satisfy his requirements. He is the proud parent of Jackson (his 11 year old Flat Coated Retriever) and Sprinkle (his 8 year old cat) and is most particular about their well being.
Jo Jo Harder is a Boca Raton, Florida fashion designer, stylist, writer and the creator of America's Top Dog Model Contest, an annual high fashion photo contest for dogs. She is the author of Diva Dogs: A Style Guide to Living the Fabulous Life, which is described as a "fashion forward style guide for trendy pets and their owners" The book covers canine haute couture, party planning, spa treatments, and international resources.
Local pet related vendors will be on hand, as well as adoption agencies, and pet photographers to take your family portrait with your dog. Celeste Johnson will be our on the street" interviewer.
Well also have lots of raffle prizes to give away. So bring your dog and your friends!
