A Night at the Carnival

Imagine Food welcomes you to partake in A Night at the Carnival--complete with music, games, food, and plenty of libations. See the carnival through the lens of three distinct carnival celebrations from around the world: Venice, Brazil, and America. While festivities of these cultures differ, they hold one common thread: to allow one to break away from the drudgery of day-to-day restrictions and encourage uninhibited pleasure and self-enjoyment. This event is all about fun and, of course, food!

Expect to experience dishes traditional to all three carnivals: Feijoada, the iconic dish of the Brazilian carnival, Lasagne di Carnevale for the Venetian, and some good old hot dogs, popcorn, and cotton candy, typical of American carnivals.

We will host a special group of performers and culinary artists, including: Pearl Nelson from Caffé Vita who is serving his new creation Sao Paulo Chilled Passion with a live performance from Seattle hip hop group Brother from Another, rock group The Western Red Penguins and libations by the incredible Matte and Gloss team. More guest chefs, winemakers, and entertainers still to be announced.

We're also planning a variety of activities and entertainment, including Spin the Wheel: Taste Test Edition, a "Carrot" Toss, and a samba performance.

Tickets are $45 online, $50 at the door. 30% of the proceeds will go to Miss Julia Lombardi's summer Hilltop Garden Explorers program.
