The Naked Sessions, #4: 826 Seattle Benefit with Eric Anderson from Cataldo
Every Song Tells a Story
Tuesday, August 26, Naked City Brewery & Taphouse and "Band in Seattle" present Eric Anderson from Cataldo in the special fourth installment of the Naked Sessions acoustic concert series. All proceeds benefit 826 Seattle, the astonishingly wonderful children's literacy project. Each Naked Sessions features a great Northwest band braiding songs together with stories about the music.
Join us for an unforgettable evening when Eric Anderson takes the stage to perform solo versions of his acclaimed "majestic indie pop" (Spin). Doors at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Seated general admission; full table service. $10 at Brown Paper Tickets. Along with all proceeds from tickets, all proceeds from every pint sold of 826 Luminosity Ale will go directly to fund the great programs at 826. Drink up!
826 Seattle is a nonprofit writing and tutoring center dedicated to helping youth, ages six to 18, improve their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Our services are structured around our belief that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.
Band in Seattle is the popular television program about NW musicians produced by the team at Victory Studios, Seattle's only full-service media production company. Band in Seattle airs Saturday nights at 11pm on channel CW11, and online at Qello.
Naked City Brewery is a passionate supporter of arts and culture. Oftentimes its hand-crafted beers are inspired by a song, film, or person. Every beer tells a story, and each one ferments in its own time.
The Screening Room is Naked City's seventy-person dining movie theater, featuring a New American comfort food menu with vegetarian and gluten-free options alongside award-winning craft beers, wines, and ciders.
Eric Anderson from Cataldo is a Seattle-based multi-instrumentalist musician, and a volunteer at 826 Seattle. His band Cataldo's latest album, "Gilded Oldies," dropped in March 2014 with what Spin magazine called "pensive, majestic indie pop," drawing inspiration from funk, soul, and R&B as well as folk. Marco Collins called the album his favorite of 2014 so far, and the band's previous three albums, all featuring the songwriting of Anderson, drew wide acclaim including Prison Boxing (2011), Signal Flare (2008), and the self-titled Cataldo (2005). Anderson hails originally from Moscow, Idaho.
