Pints & The Past: Goose Island Edition | Volume 3: The Illinois & The Ogden
VOLUME 3: THE ILLINOIS & THE OGDEN Join us for the last in a three part series exploring Goose Island's Fulton & Wood Beers and their connection to Chicago's history, culture and people.
Volume 3 will focus on two Goose Island beers: The Illinois and The Ogden. The Illinois, an imperial IPA pays homage to Frank Lloyd Wright and Chicago architecture while The Ogden, a Belgian style tripel is inspired by William Ogden, Chicago's first mayor and the developer of Goose Island.
This special evening will take place in the non-public space at historic St. Ignatius College Prep. The Driehaus Gallery contains architectural artifacts from buildings designed by well known Chicago architects from the late 19th and 20th centuries and will serve as the rare setting for our discussion hosted by historian, Liz Garibay. Each beer will be paired with delectable treats courtesy of Kenmare Catering.
$30 ticket includes appetizers paired with Goose Island's The Illinois and The Ogden and a brief history discussion plus a conversation about the beer. ALL PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT BENEFIT THE TUITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AT ST. IGNATIUS COLLEGE PREP.
