Fun and Easy Bridge for Beginners - Torre Houlgate-West
What card game is played world-wide, enhances memory development and retention, and offers an opportunity for friendly social interaction OR fierce competition? Bridge. You may want to learn, but think it's too difficult. This course puts the emphasis on having fun instead of trying to turn you into a grand master. In six weeks you'll begin to learn the fundamentals, but you'll primarily learn what a good time you can have playing bridge.
Our instructor, Torre Houlgate-West, will incorporate her own method with that of others to help you learn by doing - consistent with Cal Poly's motto. She believes that experience is the best teacher.
This course is for absolute beginners or players seeking a new beginning. No previous experience with cards required. We shall start at the basics and begin playing right away.

Tuesdays, September 9, 16, 23, 30, and October 7 & 14, 2014, 10:00am- 12 noon SLO Senior Center
Purchasing one ticket entitles you to attend all six sessions of this course.
Torre Houlgate-West has taught bridge for over 20 years. She is a certified American Contract Bridge League teacher and director, and an Easybridge! presenter. Awarded Master Teacher status in 2007 by the American Bridge Teacher Association. ACBL Silver Life Master. BA, with postgraduate credits earned in writing programs.
