Edible Film Festival presents the movie "Fresh"
Edible Film Festival presents the movie "Fresh" Thursday, October 8 at 8 p.m.
Presented by Edible Phoenix, the film festival will be held the second Thursday of each month in conjunction with the Market on Mill and Music on Mill in Tempe.
The first film, Fresh, celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. Among several main characters, Fresh features urban farmer and activist, Will Allen, a 2008 MacArthurs Genius Award fellow; sustainable farmer and entrepreneur, Joel Salatin, made famous by Michael Pollans book, the Omnivores Dilemma; and supermarket owner, David Ball, who is creating a new market model for our family farmers. Freshs focus on these inspiring individuals and their initiatives around the US provides the audience with actionable solutions.
Tickets are $7 and are available in advance from the website (book early to guarantee a seat). Proceeds from the Oct. 8 showing benefit the Market on Mill.
