D.I.Y. Comics
DIY Comics: Why wait for a publisher to put out your comics when you can just do it yourself? These days publishers are selecting cartoonists who self-publish zines, mini-comics, blogs, and web-comics. John Isaacson has been self-publishing comics for seven years. In this class, he will discuss resources available to self-publishing cartoonists. He will also outline his process of writing, making thumbnail sketches, editing, penciling, inking, scanning, printing, promoting, distributing, and selling your own comics. Participants will create comics in several formats and set goals for future projects. Cost: $25 members/$45 nonmembers
