The Last Days of Judas Iscariot by Stephen Adly Guirgis
THE LAST DAYS OF JUDAS ISCARIOT is a hilarious and heart-piercing look at perhaps History's most hated and reviled traitors. The play specifically tells the story of Judas, from a darkly humorous point of view. While in purgatory, he litigates with his lawyers to secure entry into heaven. The play uses flashbacks of an imagined childhood, and lawyers who call for the testimonies of such witnesses as Mother Theresa, Caiaphas, Sigmund Freud, and Satan.
Get your tickets and take a seat in the jury box to bear witness to the hilarity and hell-raising that unfolds in surprisingly modern parlance as a cast of historical and fictive figures decide Judas fate.
