Release the Kraken (aka The RATCHET Play)! A Reading
How many times have you heard the term 'RATCHET'?
Have you ever considered someone ratchet? Has someone ever considered YOU ratchet? Do you constantly find yourself in ratchet situations? Do you even know how to identify ratchetness? Well, have we got a show for you!
From the manic minds of the Minefield Theatre Group, we present: "Release the Kraken (aka The RATCHET Play)!" Join us as we take an in-depth look at ratchetness, its impact and place in today's society, and its influence on pop culture. From situation talk shows to reality TV shows, from twerking to 'THOT's,' from Rastafarians to rednecks, this will be a no-holds-barred, fourth-wall-free, audience-interactive theatrical experience that will pull no punches and push every boundary! If you're easily offended, we apologize in advance, and above all else, remember this: THIS AIN'T FOR KIDS! Don't say we didn't warn you! Conceived, created, and directed by Minefield's founder and artistic director, Phil Williams, and written by Chris Patterson, the production features eight unapologetically fearless performers: Mone't Fuentes, Josh Johnson, Darnell Lee, Megan Merrick, Maya Posey, Evan Reed, Craig Stewart, and Jazmin Williams. Casting was done by Yulissa Vargas, and dramaturgy was done by Rhea Annamunthodoo.
So Think you're ratchet enough? PROVE IT!
