"In the Moment" Jazz Tap and Song
Jazz vocalist, Greta Matassa, and Tap dancer, Jovon Miller, first came together a few years back to play and dance for a friend in the Bellingham area. The concert was so much fun, the energy so alive and the audience so delighted that they have decided to bring the show to Century Ballroom, one of area's finest nostalgic old ballrooms.
Performing in a truly Jazz setting, there is no script, no choreography! Just Greta's fabulous singing of selected Jazz classics, her marvelous trio backing and Jovon tapping as a fifth instrument in the group!

In just his second year of Tap, Miller was one of ten recipients nationwide (one of two dancers) for the prestigious Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Heineken USA Performing Arts Scholarship Award for 2009-2010. Some of Miller's performances have included The Masters of Lindy and Tap Young Talent Showcase, his very own annual show at Western Washington University, and the Jump Session show. His audiences have included notable individuals and organizations including but not limited to, members of the United States Congress, spouses for the Congressional Black Caucus, artist Sam Gilliam, actor/director/producer Tyler Perry, and executives/CEO's of Disney and Coca-Cola. Although he is most well known for his Tap skills, Miller also graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in dance focusing on Modern and is the Artistic Director of P2 Dance Academy in Marysville WA.
