Daniel Reynolds was born and bred in Vancouver. From an early age he took an interest in piano and especially in jazz music, which was introduced to him by his father. After a musically inspired childhood and adolescence, Daniel moved to Montreal to study at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University. As part of a jazz performance degree, he studied piano, composition, and arranging with some of Canada's finest musicians and teachers. He has had many performance opportunities, both in small groups and as a member of the McGill Jazz Orchestra. Daniel has shared the stage with artists such as Joe Lovano, Ben Monder, Joe Labarbera, Tim Ries, Kevin Dean and Andre White, and has performed across Canada. He is currently based in Vancouver, where he is busy teaching, performing, composing and collaborating with many different artists.
