CROWDFUNDING: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Speaker: Patty Simonton, Director of Venture Support, StartSomeGood
Crowdfunding has become an important source of funding for early stage companies, particularly those with social missions, products that can be traded for donations and those that are too early in their development to merit investment financing. This lunch program will feature StartSomeGood, a leading crowdfunding company that supports social enterprises and non-profits around the world.
Topics covered will include:
Who should do it (and who should not)
What campaigns have worked (and what has not)
Differences in crowdfunding models
Decisions to make before launching a crowdfunding campaign
How to identify your target audience and share your idea with the world
