Brooklyn Based Presents: American Beer and BBQ at Hope Lounge
Barcade and Gutter bar owner Paul Kermizian has another claim to fame: a documentary film called American Beer, about an epic cross country road trip he and four buds took to visit 38 breweries in 40 days. The journey was so inspiring to one of the guys in the car, Jeremy Goldberg, he started his own brewing company, Cape Ann, brewers of the Fisherman's brand of beers.
If you havent tasted Goldberg's beer, or seen Kermizian's ode to the open road and American brewmasters, you can experience both at Brooklyn Based's last party of the summer, on Wednesday, August 26. Cape Ann is sponsoring the outdoor screening of American Beer on the patio of Hope Lounge in Williamsburg, where the filmmaker himself will introduce the film.
Tickets include a complimentary glass of Cape Ann's Fisherman's Bavarian Wheat. Hope Lounge is also offering a free beer with every $7 burger (Sirloin, Turkey or Boca!), so for $20 you can polish off a burger and two beers AND take a road trip without leaving Brooklyn. Talk about cheap getaways!
Bonus: The 50th attendee will win two American Beer pint glasses and a copy of the DVD.
Note: Doors 6:30pm, Screening 8pm. Rain Date is Tuesday, September 1.
