LIVE GARRA THEATRE brings a Broadway flavor to the downtown Silver Spring Black Box Theater with its production of Ain't Misbehavin'.
Take the journey of legendary jazzman, Thomas "Fats" Waller, in this tribute to popular 1920's and '30's musicians of the Harlem Renaissance. Five performers, all local, gifted artists present an evening of rowdy, raunchy, and humorous songs that encapsulate the various moods of the era and reflect Waller's view of life as a journey meant for pleasure and play. The musical captures this iconic era of pride, creativity, and cultural awareness, all while inviting us into this sometimes sassy, sometimes sexy, always jazzy world.
"If you're a fan of the music of the Harlem Renaissance, you won't want to miss it." - Terry Ponick, DC Theatre Scene.
Tickets $25 at the door.
Please note: Tickets sales, on line, on day of performance "close out" 4 hours before the show begins. Tickets can still be purchased at the door.
