Do you want to be on stage, but aren't quite ready to do it alone? In this 6-week series you will learn an act choreographed by the instructor to perform* as a group in a student recital.
While dancing a routine on stage in front of anaudience looks easy, the work put into performing is extremely time-consuming. We have a limited amountof class time. Students are expected to practice theroutine each week and return to the following week'sworkshop ready to learn new choreography.
Interested parties must be ready to work! Weekly homework assignments will be given and are integralto a successful final performance.
Since we will be mastering an entire routine in 6 weeks, attendance at all classes is mandatory, andmissing classes may result in non-performance (emergencies will be handled on a case by case basis).
At the first class, costuming requirements will be explained. Students will be responsible for the cost of their costume pieces in addition to the workshop price.
*Students must meet specific standards for costume, choreography, and presentation in order to perform. These expectations will be outlined for students at the first class and referred to throughout the process. Students who do not meet the standards set forth by week 5 will not perform in the final recital, but will be given the opportunity to retake the class at the discounted rate of 50% off. By making a payment towards your registration, you are agreeing to these terms.
Cancellation Policies:
If your class is cancelled by the instructor, your payment will be refunded in full as soon as possible. Deposits/registrations are otherwise non-refundable. If you've pre-paid a class or deposit, are unable to attend, and give at least 10 days notice, your tuition may be transferred towards another class by emailing fannygalore@ymail.com. Tuition is non-transferable in the 9 days before a class starts. There are no refunds or makeup classes for absences.
