Book Binding Workshop: Historic Paste Papers
Join conservation technician Anna Shepard in the Huntington conservation lab and learn a bit about the history of these beautiful and functional historic endpapers and covers throughout bookbinding history and create your own paste papers with simple tools and supplies. Students will make decorative paste papers of their own design and learn what can be used at home to continue exploring hand-painted decorative papers.
No previous bookbinding or painting experience necessary.
